Upcycled teak sawdust, Lemmon Marigold & fresh pandan — Available now.
Three new materials have joined the LOSIAM portfolio. Each one comes from a different source: a forgotten sawmill byproduct, a flower that grows in gardens or tea plantations, and a fresh plant central to Thai cuisine.
Old Teak Sawdust

Teak is one of the most valued woods in Thailand, and one of the most wasted. Every time a plank is cut, sawdust falls to the ground and is usually burned or discarded. We collect it instead. Through direct extraction in our renewable solvent, this sawdust becomes a fascinating extract. We believe this is the first time it has been done at scale.
Lemon Marigold
Tagetes lemmonii grows abundantly in gardens and tea plantations. It is a beautiful plant, rarely harvested for extraction. We process it through renewable solvent extraction to produce an absolute from the fresh plant.
Fresh Pandan

Pandanus amaryllifolius leaves are harvested fresh by hand and processed through sequential maceration, without solvent, processed in large batches to meet year-round demand. This is one of our most requested materials, available year round.
